Culture Connected.
The Carl Maxey Center’s Youth Hub is a vibrant space where young Black people can come together to connect, learn, and celebrate culture.
Our goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment that encourages self-expression, community building, and pride in identity. Through cultural events, creative workshops, mentorship, and shared experiences, the Youth Hub helps young people strengthen their roots, build confidence, and develop the leadership skills needed to shape their futures.
Youth forward events
The Carl Maxey Center hosts a variety of youth events designed to inspire, educate, and empower the next generation of leaders. From cultural celebrations and career exploration workshops to mentoring programs, art projects, and community service opportunities, our youth initiatives help young people build confidence, leadership skills, and a strong sense of identity. Each event is rooted in community connection and supports our mission to create pathways to success for Black and underrepresented youth in Spokane.
